Qi Gong Masterclasses Dingle
Explore the fundamental elements of Qi Gong over a weekend long of lessons in this Ancient Chinese martial art form. Build strength from your core outwards and learn to breath easy for vitality and stamina. Ease away stress tension from top to toe, inside and out when you bring Qi Gong into your daily routine!
Maria Daly will guide you on the grass, on sand and in our Natural therapy centre, showing you that Qi Gong is for everyone no matter where you are!
Four masterclasses are spread out over the weekend, you can participate in any number of classes. Each class is €25. Take note of venue and time when choosing your preferred class(es).
Friday evening 6:30-8:30pm Venue: Tree of Life gardens, An Díseart, Green Street
Qi Gong (energy cultivation). Basic set of exercise to cultivate energy by movement of the breath and blood flow in the body. Where there is breath and blood flow there is Qi (energy).
Standing practice (Zhan Zhuang). A simple yet powerful method of remaining relaxed while standing. The aim of this exercise is to increase awareness of posture and learn how to let energy circulate through the body.
Saturday morning 9:30am – 12 noon Venue: Ventry beach
Six healing movements and sounds (Liu Zi Jue). This set of six movements has been in use since 450AD to promote healing and support health. This health routine is still one of the most practiced historically and in the present day.
Saturday afternoon – 2-5pm Venue: Ré Nua Natural Health, Goat Street Dingle
Silk Reeling (Chan Si Gong) Part 1. Reeling (circular) exercises that develop coordination and strength of the legs, waist and back. One of the essential principles of Tai Chi training is to develop ability in movement and physical conditioning through reeling exercises.
Sunday morning 9:30am -12 noon Venue: Ré Nua Natural Health, Goat St, Dingle

Maria is a licenced pratitioner in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and distinguished instructor of Qi Gong and Tai Chi.

What to bring – bottle of water, suitable clothes for outdoor sessions and flat shoes (ordinary trainers or pumps are fine). Heels and boots are not comfortable for these exercises. If the weather is not suitable for outdoors the sessions will be in ReNua Health Clinic, Goat Street, Dingle.
